About Vilnius

    The capital of Lithuania is Vilnius with population 600.000 people. It is the largest city in the country. The old town is one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The buildings in the old town were built in a number of different centuries, so there is mixture of all European architectural styles. Because of its uniquiness, the Old Town of Vilnius was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994.
    The main sights of the city are the Gediminas Castle, Cathedral Square, Gates of Dawn, Three Crosses Hill.
